Bio
Joyce is an undergraduate Research Assistant at the Social Environment and Stress (SES) Lab. She is also a member of the University Honors Program, majoring in Human Development and double minoring in Public Health and Technology Management. Her research interests involve understanding stressors that affect development such as racism, socioeconomic status, and food or housing insecurity. She is particularly interested in identifying protective factors that support resilience and enhance overall well-being.
 
Outside of the SES Lab, she works at the Aggie Compass Basic Needs Center, where she assists students experiencing food and housing insecurity, and volunteers at Paul Hom Asian Clinic, serving as a cultural broker for underserved Cantonese-speaking patients. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exploring new cafés, and taking pictures of the squirrels at UC Davis!
