Lira is a fourth-year undergraduate research assistant studying Psychology at UC Davis and is passionate about understanding the impact of trauma exposure on emotion regulation and cognitive appraisals. Research on inequity and inclusion in psychology also intrigues her, exploring how disparities and discrimination contribute to stress among marginalized groups. In her free time, Lira enjoys baking, drawing, journaling, and reading literary fiction for moments of creativity and escape. With aspirations of becoming a school psychologist, Lira is dedicated to applying her research interests to support the well-being of students navigating the challenges of stress.
