Ruby Lopez Matsumoto is a third-year psychology major with a double minor in Arabic and Middle Eastern History at the University of California, Davis. She works as both an Editor and Director of Outreach at The Aggie Transcript: Psychology team. Outside of academics, Ruby commits most of her time to the UC Davis Army ROTC Program as a Cadet and is the Captain of the Color Guard Team. She also sits on the school Campus Judicial Board as a Panelist. Beyond school, Ruby works as a Research Assistant at the Social Environment and Stress Lab under the Social Disconnect Project and also enjoys shooting with the Davis Marksmanship Club on the weekends. In the little free time that she has, she heavily enjoys watching Shōgun, trying to achieve her goal of reading 100 books in 2024, and training for her first half-marathon after recovering from knee surgery.
